Description:
HIPAA specifies that one patient can not view another patient's information. Our product replaces the non-HIPAA compliant patient sign in lists.
The Patient Check-In product uses a touch-screen kiosk (with optional magnetic-stripe card reader) to allow patients to notify your registration staff of their arrival. The patients enter their name (via touch-screen or card reader), their appointment time and their physician or department. The system then prints a number for the patient.
Optionally, you can have the patient verify their demographic information.
Optionally, you can notify the patient of their co-pay.
Optionally, you can ask specific questions related to information you wish to gather from the patient.
The patient information appears on a PC where a registration clerk logs in the patient.
Using the number which was generated for the patient, the clerk can then bring the patient back for registration (if they are a new patient) or for their appointment if they are recurring. This eliminates calling the patient by their name in a waiting room.
This system is independent of MEDITECH so it can be used in any location where you have a network server and a pc.
The MEDITECH schedule or other software's schedule can be imported to the Patient Check-In module.
A patient may check in using either English or Spanish screens, which come
standard.
Other languages may be added to meet your specific patient population.
The Unicode standard is supported which includes: Arabic, Armenian, Bengali,
Bopomofo, Coptic, Cyrillic, CJK(Chinese, Japanese, Korean),
Devanagari, Georgian, Greek, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Hangul, Hebrew, Hiragana, Lao, Latin,
Kannada, Katakana, Malayalam, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Tibetan, Vietnamese.
Wait time statistics are generated and reports can be run by day or month.
