Description:
Nurse-staffing needs can vary throughout the day and during the week. Do you know what your patient census pattern looks like? Is 10:00am or 6:00pm your busiest hour? Are Tuesdays or Saturdays your busiest days?
When an Infection Control issue arises, how do you go about collecting the past historical information on where the infected patient was and whom did they come into contact with during their stay?
CEN will deliver this information directly to you!
A Meditech background job is installed which will check the room/bed file on an hourly basis. If a patient is occupying the bed, a counter is incremented for that nursing location for that hour.
Please note: this program operates in real-time. It will not go back and make corrections on bed occupations after the fact. If admits / discharges and transfers are not performed in a timely fashion, the information collected will be incorrect.
This information can be printed via six NPR reports.
#1 Printable Location Matrix: Each
nursing location will print on a separate page. Hours appear horizontally
and days appear vertically.
#2 DownLoadable Location Matrix: There are no page headers or
trailers. Header information placed at the beginning of the report indicates
which fields appear and where they appear. Hours appear horizontally and days
appear vertically.
#3 Raw Data DownLoad: There are no page headers or
trailers. Header information placed at the beginning of the report
indicates which fields appear and where they appear. This download
contains all the information which is collected by the background census
job. You can upload this information into other software to manipulate the
raw data as needed.
#4 Re-Create Census for a Date: Each nursing location will print on a
